One Day Course

This course is for climbers wishing to learn the complex skill leading sport climbs in a single pitch setting. The course will look at leading sport climbs (bolted climbs) and establishing sound anchors at the top of the pitch. We start with an in-depth review of climbing equipment, then move on to “mock leading”, (leading with a top rope) with plenty of time on the rock. We will spend much of the mock leading time talking about safe climbing technics and rope placement. After you have demonstrated safe rope placement and clipping on mock lead you will be ready for your fist lead. With the rest of our time we will cover climbing psychology and thought process.
