!Road Trip Mexico!
These are pictures of sport climbing around Mexico. The Climbing in Mexico in amazing and often over looked because of its adventurous nature.Getting there is just half the fun when climbing in Mexico. That is why El Potrero Chico is such a good jumping point for any climbing adventure in Mexico. Located just forty minutes from an international airport, El Potrero Chico is easy to get to and the engligh guidebook is huge! . This makes El Potrero Chico the easiest of all the rock climbing in Mexico. Not to be missed, however, are the cliffs of El Salto NL, La Huasteca, La Cueva de las Candelas SLP, Pachuca HD, Jilotepec DF, Mineral del Chico HD , and Los Dientes near Guatalajara.

When we arrived in El Potrero Chico we were greeted by this, The Jungle Wall, home to Space Boyz Yankee Clipper and Black Cat Bone. |

This is the veiw from Culo Del Gato which is just 20 minutes from El Potrero Chico. It has fun cragging on interesting stone. This is just a taste of what Mexico Climbing has to offer. |

La cueva de Las Candelas is located five hours south of El Potrero Chico in the state of San Luis Potosi. It offers amazing climbing from 5.10 to 5.14. Climbing on this cave is like spelunking with well placed bolts. |

This cave out side Pachuca is where all of Mexico City's hard men and women come to play. At the bottom Diego Lopez Monul works out a new project (5.14b?) while Carlos Garcia Enjoys his super classic line above the lip. |

This 5.12+ in La cueva de Las Candelas startes on a stalagmite and is horizontal till the last move. It exits the hole in the roof after 30M. |

Shhh This one is a secret.... |

I ended my trip with another stay in El Potrero Chico. There I was reminded why I love climbing in Mexico so much. It isn't just the bullet proof rock or the strange alien tufas, it is the people that I come back for every year. Mexico has the nicest, most family oriented people on the North American Continent and everywhere I go I feel like family.
