Where he has been:

Mark has spent a semester in Nepal studying and trekking in the Himalaya.  He has been to France for sport climbing, and traveled extensively across the western United States.  Growing up skiing on the icy mountains of Vermont he is also familiar with the recreational opportunities of the east coast.

How he lives: 

With the benefits of working for the Yosemite Mountaineering School, the only unionized guide service the the country, he is able to travel and work more sporadically in the winter.  When not in Yosemite he lives out of a small camper on the back of his Ford Ranger.
