Itinerary
"Training Days": Prior to the Big Wall climb, you will spend four days training in the skills needed to complete this route. Your guide will climb with you on some shorter routes to review skills such as communication, hauling, fixed line ascension, and simul-rappelling. Climbing and descending as a team is essential for a successful summit bid. These days will also be a great opportunity for you to get to know each other.
Rest Day: Rest up and relax the day before the climb.
Day 1: Big Wall Climb
- Hike to the base of Time Wave Zero.
- Climb 1100 ft to the bivy-ledge and camp out high above El Potrero Chico.
- Kick back and relax while your guides cook up some Big Wall Tacos (steak, fish
or chicken). After dinner settle into your bivy for a good night’s rest and mentally prepare for the big summit day.
Day 2: Big Wall Climb
- Early morning coffee and breakfast
- Climb to the summit and enjoy an awesome view. Take photos, celebrate, and
sign the summit register.
- What goes up must go down. Using simul-rappel techniques, we will quickly
rappel to the base of the climb. After a short hike back to camp you will have a victory feast at La Posada’s restaurant to celebrate your climb.
