Chonta, Candel Cave, and More Sport Climbing Around Mexcio

The veiw from inside the mouth of Chonta

There is one thing better than climbing in El Potrero Chico this winter and that is starting your Mexican road trip in E.P.C. with one of guides and continuing the jouney all over Mexico with our bilingual certified guides. Let us take care of every thing from the rental car to the food/cooking. We'll get you to the zone and set you up on the best climb possible for your level.

La Cueva de las Candelas or the "Candel Cave" offers a great warm up to the trip. It is only 5 hours south of El Potrero Chico in San Luis Potosi. We can be hired to do this trip alone or as part of a tour. Consider the El Salto/ Candle Cave package.

Here you see Diego Lopez Montul (lower) and Carlos Garcia (upper) climbing in the Arena outside of Pachuca. This cave offers great 5.11s and 5.12s. It even has a 5.13 (8a) roof crack for all you trad climbers out there.

This trip is recommended for the strong (at least 5.11) climber who is interested in climbing in different areas around the world. We understand that there is not always time to find a climbing partner for that trip you want. Why not hire the best climbing partner possible?!? these climbing area do not have guide books. Use our local first hand knowledge to get you to the zones and on the right routes.
